Catching Up - Hot Springs Village, AR!

WOW!  I just noticed it has been over 3 years since I last posted.  First of all, this is just a "quick fix" post as I have been to hell and back over the last 3 years and don't have the time to explain all here.  Just to let everyone (if anyone is reading this) know that we made out last long RV trip in the summer of 2015.  During that trip Gary become extremely ill and we had to seek medical help/advice.  We returned to our home at Lake Don Pedro, CA and began a year of one doctor after another.  After a mis-diagnosis by the VA, Gary (at Cathy's urging) began to seek out other doctors.  To make a long story short, Gary was diagnosed with liver disease and he was dying.  He was advised to head East in order to get on a donor list as he would die in CA waiting for a liver.  We quickly left everything but a few days clothes and headed to our second home in Hot Springs Village, AR.  We contacted the liver coordinator at UAMS in Little Rock, AR and Gary was quickly entered into a transplant program.  From September 2015 until February 2016 Gary was in and out of the hospital several times, was having his chest drained once per week, having his stomach drained once per month, and was on oxygen 24/7.  In February 2016 Gary was notified a donor liver had been found and on February 4th, Gary had his liver removed and replaced.  He has spent the last two years going through a recovery process and restoring his life to as normal a life as possible.  During that time period we also moved our belongings, including the coach, to the Hot Springs Village, AR home.  We also sold the CA house and permanently moved to AR..  During the last twelve months Gary has returned to a fairly normal life, not withstanding the constant inflow of drugs to prevent rejection, and the many hours spent having tests run, blood drawn, and doctor appointments.  We also bought a second house in Lady Lake, FL and now travel periodically between both houses.  We are currently in Arkansas, but intend on spending Christmas in Florida (assuming doctor appointments next week come back with positive results).
